Street Detail Draft #1

In this new sereis, I decided to focus on finding smaller details on the streets around Drew. I found both objects are signs that aren't necessarily noticeable while walking down the street. I also kept the pictures in black and white because I think that it shows the emphasis on the object of the picture, and not the background. For the next draft I want to continue to find more objects that have small details in them.

  1. I like the simplicity of of these photos, and how they are things we see everyday but don't really think to pay attention to

  2. I really liked your pictures because it emphisized on the hidden things of the hidden city scape... I thought that you did a good job, i think that you should work more on little object, something other than flowers because that last flower of your piece really distracts the viewer from what you really want.

  3. I love the last two photos, they are really strong. I think you the first 4 need some improving, but they are still very interesting! Overall, good job!

  5. This is a very strong draft. Most of the images are designed well, accentuating the detail against a minimal background. most have a geometric focus. b&w supports and, as you said, helps objects pop. images 1,2,4 and 5 are a very solid foundation for a series and have classic Photo tone and content. i enjoy the use of text on walls, arrows, etc. the chronicle and plant images don't fit, as they have distracting elements in the background and edges of the frame. the chronicle also sets a more modern context, where the others have a great, timeless quality. try to push that timeless aspect further with your new set.

  6. I really like the different images. I don't really understand the second photo, but I love the rest of the stuff. I also really like the way that you took the pictures from different angles and levels.
